These statement earrings feature my hand-painted interpretation of the beautiful salt marsh moth, with creamy ivory wings, delicate black markings, and flashes of warm golden orange beneath.
Each moth begins as a miniature painting. The wings are individually hand painted with acrylic paint on canvas, carefully hand cut, sealed in resin for protection and shine, and then assembled by hand into a one-of-a-kind pair of earrings.
Natural labradorite adds a smoky, earthy accent above the moth, while delicate coordinating bead dangles bring subtle movement and shimmer below. At approximately 3.5 inches long, this pair makes a distinctive statement while remaining lightweight and comfortable to wear.
