These statement earrings feature my hand-painted interpretation of the striking California sister butterfly, with rich brown-black wings, bright orange accents, and bold white markings.
Each butterfly begins as a miniature painting. The wings are individually hand painted with acrylic paint on canvas, carefully hand cut, sealed in resin for protection and shine, and then assembled by hand into a one-of-a-kind pair of earrings.
This pair is finished with warm, sparkling goldstone accents and delicate gold-tone wirework, adding an earthy shimmer that beautifully complements the butterfly’s bold natural pattern. At approximately 3.5 inches long, these earrings make a lovely statement while remaining lightweight and easy to wear.
