These statement earrings feature my hand-painted interpretation of the lovely Adonis blue butterfly, with soft blue wings, delicate dark edging, and subtle hand-painted detail.
Each butterfly begins as a miniature painting. The wings are individually hand painted with acrylic paint on canvas, carefully hand cut, sealed in resin for protection and shine, and then assembled by hand into a one-of-a-kind pair of earrings.
This pair is finished with coordinating bead accents and delicate gold-tone wirework, adding a little movement and a soft finishing touch beneath the wing. At approximately 3.5 inches long, these earrings make a graceful statement while remaining lightweight and easy to wear.
